
Zainab Najeeb
Zainab Najeeb is a PhD candidate at the Department of Anthropology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. For the past year, she has been conducting dissertation fieldwork in Peshawar, tracing the relationship between gendered displacement and the politics of survival in Northwestern Pakistan. Before beginning her PhD, she taught at the Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS) after completing her double Masters in Gender and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the Central European University (CEU) in Hungary. Her research interests include gender, migration and displacement, digital and social activism, and postcolonial world-making with a regional focus on South Asia.
