Book Salon with Michael Busch – 17 | Daniel Royles

The Polis Project is excited to welcome Florida International University’s Dan Royles to our Virtual Book Salon. On Thursday, February 18 he will join us to discuss his new book, To Make the Wounded Whole: The African American Struggle against HIV/AIDS (University of North Carolina Press). The book offers the first comprehensive history of African American AIDS activists, and charts their struggles in the United States and abroad, and demonstrates the interlinkages of solidarity, tensions, faith and political economy that shaped struggles for medical access and equity, from the earliest years of the AIDS crisis through today.

We will talk about all of this, and more. The conversation will stream live and simultaneously on the Polis Project Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook accounts.
